Membership FAQ

  • Yes. An active membership is required for all services, including personal training, open gym, small group training, and group fitness classes.

  • We offer three membership options:

    ● Balance Fitness – Fitness-only access to our gym, equipment, and classes.

    ● Balance Health – A physician-led health and wellness membership through Balance Vita PLLC.

    ● Balance Life – Our most comprehensive membership, combining fitness, health, and wellness services.

  • Balance Fitness is designed for those who want fitness-only access.

    • Open gym access to our 14,000 sq. ft. newly renovated facility with Technogym and Precor equipment

    • Membership levels range from gym-only to gym + unlimited group classes

    • Options to add small group training (SGT) or personal training packages

    • Short-term memberships available: Day Pass $25 (includes one class) and Week Pass $100 (includes one class)

    • Memberships start at $100/month

  • Introductory offers are available for clients new to Balance or new to a particular Balance service and are available for purchase one time each. Open gym is included with each visit.

    • NEW Client Group Fitness Class Introductory offer of 3 classes $59

    • NEW Client Private Training Introductory Offer - 2, 45 min sessions $119

  • Balance Health is a physician-led membership offering ongoing medical and wellness support through Balance Vita PLLC.

    • Essential ($150/month) – 2 physician visits, 3 health coach check-ins, 2 body comp scans, 1 lab panel, 1 nutrition check-in

    • Plus ($200/month) – 4 physician visits, 6 health coach check-ins, 4 body comp scans, 2 lab panels, 2 nutrition check-ins

    • Elite ($300/month) – Unlimited physician visits, up to 12 health coach check-ins, 4 body comp scans, up to 4 lab panels, 3 nutrition check-ins

    👉 Requires a 12-month commitment.
     👉 One-time Comprehensive Evaluation ($1,200) is available if you’re not ready to commit.

  • Balance Life is our combined fitness, health, and wellness membership. It includes physician visits, nutrition consultations, fitness coaching, group classes, and gym access.

    • Base ($375/month) – 2 physician visits, 1 nutrition visit, 3 health coach check-ins, 3 body comp scans, 1 lab panel, gym + classes

    • Boost ($600/month) – 4 physician visits, 2 nutrition visits, 6 health coach check-ins, 6 body comp scans, 3 lab panels, 8 SGTs/month, gym + classes

    • Breakthrough ($1,000/month) – Unlimited physician visits, 6 nutrition visits, 12 health coach check-ins, unlimited body comp scans, up to 4 lab panels, 16 SGTs/month, 12 acupuncture or massage sessions, gym + classes

    👉 Requires a 12-month commitment (monthly or annual billing).

    • Physical therapy, acupuncture, and massage are not included in most plans and require separate appointments.

    • Exception: the Breakthrough Life plan includes 12 acupuncture or massage sessions per year.

    • Payment is due in advance of services.

    • An active electronic payment method must be saved on file.

    • We accept MC, Visa, AMEX, Discover, and ACH debit.

    • Credit cards incur a 3% processing fee; ACH debit has no fee.

    • Monthly memberships are charged every 30 days.

    • Training packages are charged in packs of 10 and automatically reload when reach 0 sessions.

    • Group Fitness / Small Group Training – Cancel at least 12 hours in advance for credit back.

    • Personal Training / Wellness Appointments – Cancel at least 24 hours in advance or you forfeit the session.

    • Unlimited class members – Late cancels or missed classes are charged at the associated base rate of the reservation.

    • All members must check in at the front desk upon arrival for all services.

    • Group fitness and small group training participants must reserve their spot in advance via Momence.

    • Open gym users must check in every visit.

    • Fitness memberships can be frozen one time per 12-month period.

    • Health memberships (with physician services) may be frozen only at the discretion of Balance Vita PLLC.

    • All memberships auto-renew unless written notice is provided.

    • Weekly fitness programming with suggested workouts from our trainers for those using our open gym

    • Workshops and pop-up events on fitness, health, and wellness

    • Members are expected to use equipment safely and respectfully.

    • Members are expected to clean equipment used and return it to the proper areas.

    • Respect each other’s space and be mindful of the activity happening around you.

    • Speaking on phones is not permitted in classrooms or the gym floor.

    • Balance condemns racist, sexist, and xenophobic speech or behavior. Proven violations result in immediate termination of membership.

Balance Health and Wellness FAQs

General Practice

  • We focus on maximizing results for YOU! Traditional medicine focuses on maximizing insurance reimbursements for covered services. Our proactive, preventive, personalized care integrates fitness, nutrition, and medicine to prevent chronic diseases, enhance performance, and promote 360 degree health and wellness transformation.

  • No. We collaborate with and complement your primary care by focusing on 360 health and wellness transformation. Our focus is to help you look and feel good inside and out, get fit, stay healthy, and find your Balance!

    We do not treat acute illnesses, handle emergencies, or manage chronic pain or disability paperwork.

  • We do not bill insurance directly, but we can provide a superbill that you may submit for possible reimbursement from your insurance provider. Labs, tests, and prescription orders will be sent electronically and may be covered through your insurance.

  • Dr. Matthew Watto MD, FACP is an internal medicine physician with over 15 years of experience, specializing in health optimization, chronic disease prevention, fitness, nutrition, and human performance.

Services and Process

  • All members are followed by a physician led, multidisciplinary team including training experts, health coaches, and nutrition. They receive a comprehensive fitness assessment, 5 pillars evaluation (sleep, nutrition, fitness, metabolic and emotional health), lab testing, Technogym checkup, body composition analysis, and personalized LIFE Plan to optimize longevity and healthspan.

  • Our team will send electronic forms to gather medical and family history, assess key aspects of health, and determine your goals ahead of your initial physician consultation. Members also undergo a comprehensive fitness evaluation (strength, mobility, stability, and cardiopulmonary) either before or after their first physician visit.

  • Comprehensive labs, fitness, strength and mobility testing, estimated VO2 max, continuous glucose monitoring, and when relevant we refer patients for advanced testing like cardiac CT, whole body MRI, or genetic testing.

  • We review data from wearables (e.g., Oura, Whoop, Apple Watch, Garmin, FitBit) at each visit to guide your personalized plan and monitor your progress over time.

Conditions and Prevention

  • We focus on metabolic health, weight management, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, sleep issues, emotional health, cognitive decline, bone density, and hormonal balance to improve longevity and healthspan and prevent chronic diseases.

  • Yes. We screen for these conditions and offer behavioral interventions, alternative medicine, and medication management. We enlist specialist consultation for complex or refractory cases.

  • Yes. We can arrange for advanced cancer screening including cell-free DNA (Galleri) testing, whole-body MRI, and coordinate traditional screenings like colonoscopy, mammogram, prostate, lung cancer, and cervical cancer screening.

Costs and Logistics

  • Membership pricing varies based on the level of service. We offer tiered plans that include physician services, nutrition, and health coaching with increased support and services at higher tiers.

  • Yes. We offer a standalone consultation if you're not ready to commit to ongoing membership.

  • Initial follow-up typically occurs 1–3 months after your intake visit. Frequency thereafter depends on your goals and care plan with more frequent visits required for complex issues (e.g. managing diabetes, hypertension, or adjusting hormone replacement therapy).
